Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Genre: Fantasy/ Adventure/ Mystery/ Romance
Last Thursday went to watch Harry Potter with my group of friends. Although I am not a big fan of it nor did read a single book of it but what it attracts me was, the magic spells, sitting on the broom stick flying every where which is most of our childhood bedtime stories. A witch and bla bla. . .

Of all the movies series, I found that this is the 1 I could not really understand and I feel that it was a bit too long. The show is 2 n half hours or maybe I have just watch one of the summer best block buster, Transformer which is all action packed and then suddenly to drama, fantasy type movie. I also did realize that a few ppl around me fell asleep and my friends and me were keep yawning.

There are a few comedy part in the movie, but still I would say not the best or maybe I need to grab the book to read through(thinking of the thickness of the book, Haih~)seems very unlikely.

I would just say, maybe Harry Potter fans would just love it as like what Star Trek fans which they keep track of all the story and series. It is up to you, to watch it at the cinema or DVD.

Salma Haykes Second Time Is A Charm

Salma Hayek and her billionaire husband who fathered her child made it official, again, with a second wedding ceremony and party in Venice over the weekend. Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault, who have a 1-year-old daughter (September 21, 2007), Valentina Paloma Pinault, were married in the Venice opera house, and guests wore Venetian masks.

Salma Haykes Second Time Is A Charm

The bride, who first tied the knot with Pinault on Valentine’s Day in Paris, wore a Balenciaga wedding gown Balenciaga just happens to be one of the luxury labels owned by Pinault’s family firm, PPR — and a long veil, and carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis with crystals.

Her engagement ring that Salma wore was made of platinum and had a diamond that was oval-shaped and must easily have been over five carats. A fitting ring indeed for someone as beautiful and talented as Salma Hayek.

Julia Roberts shooting film in Italy

Film star Julia Roberts is heading to Rome this week to work on the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's memoir "Eat, Pray, Love," ANSA said.

Roberts, who has acted on-screen only sporadically in recent years because she wanted to stay home with her three young children, is best known for her roles.

In the romantic comedies "Pretty Woman" and "My Best Friend's Wedding." She won an Oscar for her performance in "Erin Brockovich."

Her latest film, which is being directed by Ryan Murphy, is slated for theatrical release in 2011. It is about Gilbert's adventures traveling to Italy, India and Indonesia where she tried to find herself in the wake of a nasty divorce.

ANSA said the exact locations where Roberts is expected to shoot scenes for the movie have not been disclosed, but the news agency noted Rome's Villa Borghese gardens and medieval alleys earned mentions in the book.

Roberts and Ryan reportedly are expected to shoot subsequent scenes in India and Indonesia after they leave Italy.

Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan bollywood war reaches IPL??

Salman Khan, the macho man of tinsel town who is (in) famous for never forgetting or forgiving anyone who misbehaved with him, has decided to take his cold war with Shah Rukh Khan to another level by buying Ahmedabad team of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Sources say that Salman Khan does want to give a free reign to Shah Rukh Khan in the cricket field of IPL and hence will be buying a team of his own to face (SRK’s team) in the upcoming season of IPL in 2011. In this regard, Salman Khan has already met IPL commissioner Lalit Mody to discuss the nitty gritty of the whole acquisition procedure.

Sources say that Salman Khan is likely to buy Ahmedabad team of IPL in association with a big business house of the country. The tender process for the IPL is likely to star in December this year and team acquisition will be completed by January 2010.

In fact, Salman Khan’s desire to own an IPL team comes from the fact that Shah Rukh Khan got huge media coverage in the last season of IPL due to affairs of his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders. It was beyond Salman Khan’s expectations and now he does not want to leave such an important arena to his most fierce competitor.

Sources close to Salman Khan say that he was amazed by the fact that Shah Rukh Khan got such a huge publicity and earned handsome moolah despite of the fact that his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders was the worst performer on the field. But the ownership had given Shah Rukh undue advantage over Salman Khan and other bollywood biggies in the matter of publicity of their upcoming flicks.

While Salman and others had to spend crores to get their films publicized, Shah Rukh Khan did it effortlessly by owning the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. In fact, media went hounding for Shah Rukh for his comments about Coach John Buchanan, Sourav Ganguly etc of IPL. All this publicity helped his films and even his ordinary flicks became super hits.

Another theory doing the rounds in the industry is that Salman Khan wants to buy an IPL team for his sister Arpita, who is a huge cricket lover. By doing this he intends to fulfill Arpita’s wish as well as become equal to Shah Rukh Khan, as only this cricket tag is lacking in Salman’s armory for the time being.

However, buying an IPL team will not be easy this time and Salman Khan will have to spend at least Rs 1000 crore for it, which is said to be the base price ($250 million) this time. In fact, this price is double of even Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai Indians team, which was the costliest at$111 million in the last season. Shah Rukh Khan had bought Kolkata team for a meager $76 million to be paid over ten years. Besides Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty are also associated with IPL teams of Punjab and Rajasthan respectively.

Emma Watson - teenage millionaire and modern day fashion icon

When someone mentions the name Emma Watson the first thing that springs into most peoples minds would be Harry Potter and Emma's character Hermione Granger. I am not ashamed to admit that I am a big fan of the Harry Potter books and films, probably because I was only 12 or 13 when the books first came out, so its as if I have grown up with them.

Emma Watson - teenage millionaire and modern day fashion icon

Watson auditioned for the part of the 11 year old Hermione Granger when she was just 9 years old so for more than half her life she has played this character who is almost identical to Emma's own character. The lines have become blurred between who Emma is and who Hermione is because of the fact that Emma has made Hermione a part of herself.

On her 18th birthday Emma was given control of her trust fund and is rumoured to have came into a fortune of £10 million, however unlike many girls her age she took a course on how to handle large amounts of money and how to invest wisely.

I think this says a lot for Emma's character, personally if I had just been handed over £10 million I would be straight over to Vivienne Westwood for a serious shopping spree. However it is a well-known fact that Emma is a fan of the labels and with a taste for Chanel, I would well imagine that she is quite happily working her way through her millions.

On the topic of Emma Watson and fashion it is clear that she has become quite the fashion icon with top designers, such as Christopher Bailey of Burberry and Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel, all wanting a piece of her. She has also signed a lucrative contract with London modelling agency Storm and this has secured her an exciting deal with Burberry as the face of their new advertising campaign, not only that but she is the only female face in this campaign.

As for her connection with Chanel the rumours have not yet been confirmed as to whether or not she will be fronting their advertising campaign. It is true that she has had several meetings and photoshoots with Lagerfeld himself and he has described her as a natural beauty who doesn't have to think about her sense of style. Lagerfeld's influence on her fashion sense has naturally elevated her in fashion circles at home and abroad, in fact on a recent trip to Paris for Fashion Week she was mauled by screaming fans and she actually felt less hassled at London Fashion Week.

Her fashionable circle of friends include all the usual front row guests such as Alexa Chung and Emma has become quite accustomed to attending fashionable parties, designer showcases and exclusive fashion events and having met with many of the worlds most exciting fashion designers and fashion editors they all now have a firm opinion of her.

She has been described as a designer's dream, a mix of old fashioned Hollywood meets modern cutting edge. Christopher Kane has even described her as a classic English rose almost reminiscent of Grace Kelly. This is not unlike descriptions that were made of Kiera Knightly when she first hit the big time and was then signed as the face of Coco Mademoiselle.

I can see a lot of similarities between Emma and Kiera. Both have that classic look, pale flawless skin with a hint of rose in the cheeks, tall and willowy figure and an air of sophistication. It is not surprising then that Emma has been tipped to be the next face of Chanel and only time will tell if Lagerfeld's hard work will end with Emma fronting a future campaign.

What will the future have in store for Emma? The Harry Potter films are coming to an end with only two more films left to release (the final book is to be made into two films) and she is set to return to some sort of normality by going to University.

After being in the spotlight from the age of nine it is clear that Emma wants to take some time out and pursue other options rather than put all her eggs into one basket. It will be very strange to see the end of the Harry Potter era. It will no doubt leave a large gap in the lives of many children, teenagers and adults but the biggest gap will I am sure be felt by the cast itself.

Only time will tell what Emma and the gang will do with their lives but of one thing I am certain, Emma will have many years of fashion ahead of her, that being modelling, mixing with fashion royalty and perhaps in time even launching her own range.

When SRK took a back seat to John, Abhishek

As Tarun Mansukhani is fine tuning the script for a sequel to his hit film Dostana, his main concern he says is to make a film that is in every way better than the original but will also work as a stand alone film. True, it will continue the story from the first movie, he says, but it should look very different from the first one.

When SRK took a backseat to John, Abhishek

Mansukhani, 33, who was in New York recently to attend the I View film festival organised by the advocacy group Engendered, confesses that he was not contemplating a sequel to the Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starring DostanaBut within a month or two of the film's release Karan Johar (buddy and the film's producer)

Abhishek and John kept asking me when we will start working on the sequel," he says with a chuckle. He had to put aside his plans for other projects including a story about the process of death, and a urban thriller aside and start working on the sequel.

Mansukhani speaks with rapid fire enthusiasm but he also weighs his thoughts well. Having worked as an assistant director on six films starring Shah Rukh Khan ], including Paheli [ Images ] which Shah Rukh produced, he could have started his first film with his favourite actor.

But I believe that I should earn a Shah Rukh film," he says with a gentle laughter. "I don't think he would have said No had I approached him with a good script. But I felt that I admire him so much that I will first prove myself and may a year or two later, I will go to him with a fine script."

What could be the movie that he offers to Shah Rukh? "Perhaps the film dealing with death..."But hasn't Shah Rukh died in many films? "Yes, but this film I want to make is more about how we look at the thought of dying," he says. "Considering that death is the only certain thing in anyone's life, I am baffled at people's fear about death."

Meanwhile, he thinks he would be ready to roll out the Dostana sequel early next year. It won't be set in Miami he says, adding that he is looking for yet another trendy city, not just in America but in Europe or South America. What would be the title of the sequel. "There are so many ideas ranging from Dostana 2 to Dostana Rebound but whatever we choose, the word Dostana will be there."

Daniel Radcliffe & Tom Felton talk Deathly Hallows on Test

Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton were today interviewed on Test Match Special on BBC Radio 5 live. They spoke about cricket, the match (England vs. Australia) and answered questions emailed in by fans, which prompted discussion about Deathly Hallows.

Dan confirms they have just done a week of night shoots and that Tom is in the film 'quite a lot'. Dan says he learns his lines the weekend before a shoot and goes over them on the morning of filming. Dan goes on to compare cricket to Quidditch, saying they're both 'needlessly complex'. They are also asked, should they get stuck on a desert island, what would they rather have; a cricket bat or a Firebolt.

Additionally they talked about how their close friendship developed, thanks to Tom's girlfriend, Jade, who Dan's particularly close to. They candidly talked about how they go from hating each other on screen to chatting about cricket and how Tom's now bleach-blonde hair attracts fans at matches.

Dan waxes lyrical about cricket and compares test matches to a five act play & the parrallels between the achievements in filming and on stage and on a cricket pitch and also describes their and Jade's reaction to the balcony seats they're in. They admit to 'dragging' Jade along to 6 matches, consequently getting her into the sport. They also talk about the charity cricket match they played in last weekend.

Angelina Jolie to Return for Sequel to Wanted?

After Angelina Jolie’s action-packed performance in Wanted, the end of the movie made it seem unlikely she’d return for a sequel. But now director Timur Bekmambetov thinks he’s found a way to make it happen.
(WARNING: SPOILER ALERTS AHEAD!)

Angelina Jolie to Return for Sequel to Wanted?

Even Angie previously said she didn’t think her character Fox could come back, mostly because, as Bekmambetov tells MTV News, “She was kind of… dead.” But this is a story based on a comic book, where unlikely comebacks reign, and Bekmambetov says he’s got a plan.

“If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax,” he explains to MTV News. “We know how to do this, but it’s still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head.” “But there has to be a reason for her to come back… and we know the reason,” he added.
